This place makes some of the most authentic hand pulled noodles! I've ordered from here a couple times now, it's located in the inner sunset so it's a little bit far but definitely worth it. However, this last time I ordered the seafood pulled noodles and there was only three shrimp in there so I was disappointed that they didn't give me enough shrimp and also the fish was only a few pieces so I'm not sure why they did that.

Amazing food and friendly service. Food came out very fast. Best fried rice and potstickers I've had.

Hands down best Chinese food in the city. Hole in the wall, bare bones vibe and cash only. Service isn't spectacular as it can get busy and its a small, family owned and operated establishment but well worth the wait. Beef roll pancake and hand pull noodles are a must. Will always stop by when I'm close to Taraval.

Been here multiple times mostly for the dumplings. Ive always really like handmade dumplings, the shrimp and spinach one is not bad The hand pull noodles are also really decent! I'm feel a bit meh about the chicken pancakes tho. The staff were really nice. The environment isn't really fancy, just standard Chinese restaurant setting.

Got here on Friday night around 5:40p of Memorial Day weekend. We were seated right away. By the time we left, there was a wait. For a hole in the wall, it is decently decorated, simple but clean. We ordered beef roll pancakes, tender ribs hand pulled soup noodles, lamb skewers, garlic green beans. Food came out fast and hot. They were all good but i think i preferred the flavor of the beef noodles soup to the tender ribs noodles soup. The ribs were tender but very mildly flavor. Loved the fried garlic bits on the green beans. All in all, a satisfying meal and You cannot beat the price.

Some places are truly so OG that you kinda forget about writing a review. House of Pancakes is that for me: reliable, delicious, and above all else, homey. While their most well-known menu item are the beef pancake rolls, I think the dumplings and potstickers are a must-order. These are handmade every single day in the back kitchen by staff who have probably folded hundreds of thousands of these, not only for their customers but also for their families. At least that's what I tell myself when I place an order and dip into the chili crisp. I hadn't been here in a while but unsurprisingly, nothing has changed. The same tables, same layout, and the same menu. My friend and I fought about getting the dumplings vs. the potstickers (settled on the dumplings) but the bilingual server was generous enough to give us half and half. Thankful for the slow weekday lunches :) and if you're debating as well? Potstickers over dumplings.

House of Pancakes was one of the coziest & tastiest meals I've had in recent memory. The garlic green beans and the beef roll pancake were the most notable items for sure. So tasty!! The hand-pulled noodles were good as well, especially on a rainy day. The garlic green The food is what earned the five stars here. The service and ambiance were alright. I wouldn't say either were notable. It took me a few tries to flag down a server to get water, but they were quick with the tea and with the food! Overall, I'd definitely come back here!

Overall this is a good Chinese spot in the outer sunset! Small interior but quick service. VERY WELL PRICED with large portions in SF! We did family style and got a variety of dishes and it was only $50 for the whole meal! The food was delicious. My personal favs were the beef pancakes and the garlic beans! Others in our group loved the noodles and dumplings. Collectively we didn't love the chicken skewers. But all our other dishes were tasty, hot, large portions and overall winners. No high chairs for kids!

Came here looking for authentic Taiwanese food and they did not disappoint! They were fairly empty on a Thursday night but get more crowded on weekends. They're cash only so come prepared. Everything is super affordable and in large portions -- we ordered 3 dishes and could not finish (they do not skimp out on portions!), and our bill didn't even hit $30. Pork dumplings with Napa cabbage: 4/5, they were pretty good! The filling was plentiful and I liked the filling to wrapper ratio. Beef roll pancake: 5/5, I love Taiwanese beef rolls a lot and this did not disappoint. Good amount of meat and the pancake part was not dry. Mustard green and pork hand pulled noodles: 5/5, an enormous bowl with noodles so long that they give you scissors to cut them up. We ordered it soup style which I highly recommend. Love the texture of the noodles and the toppings were generous! Though not the fanciest restaurant (tables crowded in a smaller shop, not the cleanest space either), this place gives solid Taiwanese food with an ambiance true to other Asian restaurants I grew up going to. Would definitely come back for the good deal!
